Exploiting other people's work on English teaching #2

This time, I had chance to look at another peer of mine, Seri's post on using Voki in her English teaching class. As all of you know, I had used voki before and there were some limitations on it. If you look at Seri's work, she is so creative in which she uses these tool. Unlike my work, Seri combined two vokis and made it into a conversation. I would like to borrow her idea and try to make an English conversation to encourage student's listening ability.

Here is the example of her video:

(Please follow the url to watch her video because Wix doesn't allow me to post her video)

Here is my example of combining different Vokis to create a listening activity.

Task: Listen to the directions in the video and pick out 2 appropriate answers

Direction: You are on the way home on a last train of the day. You are about to get off at the last stop and you see a stranger right next to you fallen asleep. Everybody has to get out of the train otherwise it would shutdown until first train tomorrow. You decide to wake her up. (I had turn a written quiz I had on my google form into video)

A: Dude, Wake up. You have to get off

B: Excuse me, we are at the last stop. I think you should get off here?

C: Hey! Go sleep at your house!

D: You might want to get off at this station. It is the last stop.

I had to put a lot of effort and use other tools to combine all the vokis I have created, but it was worth it! I think Voki is an amazing tool to create listening and speaking activities.

How do you guys think about this work? Please leave comments or feedbacks! Thank you and enjoy :)
