Exploiting other people's work on English Teaching #3

Have you guys had a chance to read my digital storybook about pets? I found a similar storybook of my peer Hyein. She wrote a storybook about mom to encourage students to think more about their families. She had she would teach the storybook in May because May is month of families! I thought that idea was great because it lead me to the idea that I could have my students work on their digital books through storybird and give them to their parents for a present.

I think storybooks can be a creative and touching gift. Why don't you guys try using storybook? I bet you guys always right lame letters every year. I recommend you to use storybook as a letter!

Here is my letter to my mom:

I really liked the idea that mom = our hero. So I will borrow that idea and create a storybook letter to my mom!

I will give my letter to my mom as an example in class and help students to create a storybook letter to their parents in class. I think it would be a great opportunities for students to enhance their love towards their family and give a message to them to not forget how much love their parents have given to them. This activity will enhance students' cognitive skills and writing abilities. It would be killing two birds with one stone!
